Portrait Painting From Life.
Utrecht / American Artist Magazine Competition 2011 Grand Prize winner Daniel Bilmes takes you through the steps and techniques of creating a portrait painting from life. In this class students will receive multiple live demonstrations in oil and charcoal. Students will be taught the principles of proportion, form, color, and how to capture the character of the subject.

May 15th - June 14th (10 classes)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-10 pm

Winter is here in Ashland, the heaters at the school have been turned up and the tea-pot turned on. Our new fall students are getting the swing of things while our second through fourth year students are starting longer figure drawing. Drawings by fourth year students have just been uploaded.
